Job Title: Graduate Engineer Trainee
Organization: Kikagati Power Company Limited
Duty Station: Isingiro, Uganda
Roles and responsibilities:
- Familiarization with the power generation industry
- Deep knowledge of general hydropower operation and maintenance.
- Start and stop sequence of units – SCADA
- Raise and reduction of generation – SCADA
- Alarms identification and how to start investigation
- Operational incidences reporting
- Operational routines
- Familiarization of Historian database
- Routine maintenance activities:
- Maintenance and monitoring of Civil structures
- Cleaning of cooling water filters
- Maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
- Maintenance of electrical panels
- Cleaning of trash racks
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- One year of experience in an engineering environment.
