Job title: 18 Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Assistants
Organization: Agency for Co-operation in Research & Development(ACORD-U)
Location:Luwero, Gomba, Mityana, Kakumiro, Kyenjojo, Fort portal, Kabarole, Bunyangabo, Mubende, Kassanda, Kiboga, Nakaseke and Kyegegwa.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Distribute tools to staff, receive filled tools from the field, count, thoroughly check
for completeness and consistency of the data and record them properly in a data
submission book. - Support MEAL officer to conduct data cleaning and timely data entry into the project database for timely reporting.
- In line with data storage and archiving SOPs, support the social workers in filing of all already entered tools and manage the OVC-WC data room and ensure
confidentiality of the beneficiaries’ information and manage the file movement
tracking system. - Under the guidance of the MEAL officer, support updating of USAID OVC-WC
Program Implementation Performance trackers for the various result areas - Lead on the daily data entry in the OVC WC MIS
- Orient temporary data entrants on the OVC WC MIS when needed
- Under the guidance of the MEAL Officer support the reporting into the OVCMIS,
HIBRID and any other reporting platform - Support MEAL Officer to conduct weekly data analysis, produce standard reports and share with the project team to track project performance
- Ensure proper documentation and storage of data tools.
- Under the guidance of the MEAL officer support DQA activities at the district level
- Respond to data requests for information from other staff
- Orient staff and community structures in the use of the MEAL tools to ensure
quality data collection. - Participate in the special Activity studies as may be required
Minimum qualifications:

The applicants for the USAID OVC M&E Assistant career jobs must hold at least a Degree or Diploma in Statistics, M&E, Economics, Social Sciences, IT or any other related field

Additional training in M&E is desirable

A minimum of two years’ experience and practical knowledge in M&E position or
Data Management -
Previous experience in CSCG methodology is added advantage

Previous experience with data entry

Previous experience working in a development project environment

Excellent skills in computer packages such as excel and other databases

Knowledge of savings/CSCG group programming helpful
