Job Title: IT Support Officer
Organization: Exim Bank Uganda
Location: Kampala
Roles and responsibilities:
- Run daily EOD process and ensure system is ready for next days transactions
- Execute, review and verify daily backups for Core Banking and peripheral applications databases.
- Ensure backups are transferred to DR site and replication is at Sync.
- Perform user rights assignment and management
- Configure, install and manage the applications and databases.
- Provide first level and second level support for all applications and databases.
- Drive and manage the IT service desk ensuring that all reported service requests from branches and customers are resolved within the stipulated SLAs.
- Work with 3rd party vendors in delivering new solutions and change requests while ensuring that the business objectives are met.
- Support SITs and UAT activities for all change requests.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures documents for all IT processes
- Proactively communicate to business and stakeholders on any service failures and expected resolution times
- Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or Business Computing.
- At least 3 years in IT, Banking or related Experience.
- Sound Knowledge of Digital Banking Products will be added advantage.
- Hands-on experience on IT Applications, Core Banking Support, Infrastructure, and IT Operations.
- Highly analytical in problem-solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking.
