Roles and responsibilities
- Manning the help desk and ensuring that after-sale support is offered around the clock to clients.
- Ensuring that all support calls are answered, responded to and acted upon.
- Making use of the availed tools to carry out support duties i.e logging tickets, updating and/or escalating and /or closing tickets.
- Attending to all manner of queries and problems from clients, through all available communication channels.
- Working out the exact nature of clients’ problems and prescribing the correct solution or escalating them for assistance to ensure continuous access to the service.
- Assisting prospective clients by answering questions and offering information about Echo Uganda and its services so as to get new clients and increase the client base.
- Inputting and updating all Customer information on a daily basis and preparing weekly summary reports.
- Writing reports on the status of the various projects and activities.
- Testing new products, hardware and software.
- To document network setup and ongoing changes.
- Provide support to network engineers and system administrators in looking for solutions to technical problems and any other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications for this job:
- BS/BE in Computer Science/Computer Engineering & Information Systems and Technology
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
- Resilience and a determination to succeed.
- Independent thinkers with growth mindset.
- Must be passionate, self-motivated, and able to learn quickly.
