The Mukwano Group of Companies is the leading manufacturer of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) in the Great Lakes region, producing a wide range of market leader brands in soaps, edible cooking oils and fats, detergents, beverages, personal care products and plastics.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain chilled water, steam, heat, water, drainage, sewage, and other plumbing systems
- Inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, tanks, valves, and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions, and make repairs or replacements when necessary.
- Prepare daily activity reports for submission to the Plumbing Supervisor
- Performs preventative maintenance work as required
- Any other duties assigned by the Plumbing Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications & Experience
- Craft certificate in plumbing from a recognized institution.
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills & Professional Attributes
- Must be good at application of creativity and innovative skills in managing projects
- Should have good analyzing skills as well
- Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of plumbing systems
- Knowledge of the mechanical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters, and other plumbing components
- Should be a problem – solver and be able to grasp the problem at hand and take quick steps to resolve it
- Ability to develop, formulate strategy and exercise good judgment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
