Job Summary:
To performs the optimisation /modifications of process control systems, supports the installations of process control & relevant electrical systems, maintain, calibrate, repair equipment, optimise plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation / systems
- Carry out repairs / maintenance
- Continuously improve (optimise) plant, process equipment and systems
- Operate plant and process equipment
- Calibrate instruments
- Perform basic changes to software in PLC’s following Management of Change approvals
- Supports the scoping of projects and upgrades to plant and process Communicate effectively in the workplace
- Complete associated tracking and monitoring: Complete Artisan workstation administration and take action as required
- Complete Team room administration as required
- Contribute to self-development
- Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace
- Operate and control the process according to SOP’s
- Support quality at source
- Participate in (and coach) autonomous operations Improve personal competence and flexibility
- Complete 5 WHY’s (As per triggers) with relevant team members
- Support & Lead AB reports as required
- Utilize loss & waste and short interval control to identify problems
- Apply problem solving techniques to resolve situational problems
- Comply with safe, health and environmental procedures and legislation Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
Qualifications for Nile Breweries Jobs 2022
- Preferably Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years working experience preferably in a Foods and Beverages Industry
- Basic Siemens TIA
- Instrument calibration & configuration
- Process Optimization
- Automation communication networks/Protocols
