Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide clerical support to the LMHD programme, such as drafting and following up payment requests, letters, emails etc.
- Work with the Programme Manager and the projects team to organize and/or participate in key project events and meetings.
- In consultation with the Programme Manager, support the Public Information Officer in collecting, processing and proper storage – in various formats – of relevant information related to projects activities and beneficiaries.
- In consultation with the Programme Manager, support the Public Information Officer in reading the main newspapers and flag to management any stories of interest.
- Carry out any other support tasks as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completed High School Degree/Certificate in business administration, social work and social administration, journalism, secretarial studies or related field from an accredited academic institution, with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience; or
- University degree in the above fields with at least one (01) year of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in supporting a busy office, including setting up appointments and managing inter-office communication, managing inventories, and offering basic research support;
- Experience in recording, processing and storing information in writing and using audio-visual gadgets such as camera and recorder;
- Excellent writing skills
- Well-organized, self-motivated, time management, willing to learn new skills
- Excellent communication, and inter-personal skills
- Ability to use basic ICT equipment such as computers (Microsoft Office packages), printers, photocopiers, and multimedia gadgets.
- Fluency in English (oral and written).
- Working knowledge of other UN languages and knowledge of the local languages is an added advantage.
