Reports to: Residential Facility Coordinator

Sole Hope Profile:

Mission: Equipping the vulnerable to walk in freedom from life-threatening diseases and exploitation; through education, empowerment, and medical relief.

Job Summary:

As a residential facility caretaking personnel, the job holder will take care of Sole Hope patients and their living environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide caretaking services to patients at the Hope Centre
• Ensure hygiene and sanitation at the Hope Centre and offices
• Participate in jigger removal, rechecks and other Sole Hope activities
• Ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with Sole Hope’s Vision, Mission, Policies and Values and the Laws of Uganda.

Minimum Qualifications

• Training in a medical field. Subscription to the relevant professional body is an advantage.
• A certificate in counseling is an added advantage
• Excellent communications skills in English, Lusoga, Lugishu and Luganda, including ability to communicate well with vulnerable children.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, work in a team and able to deliver services in a timely manner.
• Ability to take care of patients and provide immediate feedback to your supervisor.
• Ability to multitask and be able to deliver timely results as planned.
• Commitment to Sole Hope values, principles and strategies.
• Work Hours: 8
• Experience in Months: 12
• Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
