Job Summary

The International Potato Center under SweetGAINS project is planning a research for development study aimed at promoting sustainable adoption of improved sweetpotato varieties. The study will involve sweetpotato farmers in Amuria district, Eastern Region of Uganda. This survey is aimed at establishing baseline conditions about use of improved sweetpotato varieties by farmers. Thus, the consultant  will therefore collect baseline data using tablets.

 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Objective

  • Collecting baseline data

Deliverables

  • Data on use of improved sweetpotato variety use by farmers in Amuria district approved for consistency, accuracy and completeness by the Supervisor

Time frame

  • Consultancy contract will be for 19 days.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Degree  College/Bachelor’s degree
  • Specialty in Agriculture, agribusiness management, economics, statistics, and other related fields
  • Expertise required Data collection, use of tablets to collection data
  • At least two (2) years of experience
  • Skills survey data collection skills, soft/interpersonal skills, team work
