Oil Palm Uganda Limited (OPUL) Profile:

Oil Palm Uganda Limited (OPUL), is a joint venture between Wilmar international, Josovina of Singapore, Bidco Uganda Limited and the Government of the republic of Uganda. Oil Palm Uganda Limited (OPUL) has established over 6,500 hectares of oil palm supported by over 4,500 hectares of small holder farmers on Kalangala Bugala Island with two palm oil mills of 20TPH capacity. Replicating the Kalangala model, we are also undergoing development of new nucleus and small holder’s estates in Masaka, Kyotera and Buvuuma.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Will be responsible for dealing with bank accounts payable, out growers farmers accounts for fresh fruit bunches (FFB) supply, receivable and general accounting
• Reconciliation of accounts including bank reconciliations under on-line SAP environment with other users on SAP.
• Preparation of cash flow statements, annual budget and Management information reports.
• Compliance of statutory requirements for VAT, Excise Duty, PAYĖ, Income Tax and NSSE
• Liaise with internal and Statutory Auditors, supervision and control of the day-to-day functioning of the Accounts Department.

Minimum Qualifications

• The applicants Should be holders of any of the following qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting), CPA or ACCA
• A minimum of three years of experience in a similar working environment, with a thorough knowledge of SAP FICO Module.
• Candidates having FICO Certification will have added advantage.
• Good communication skills
• Computer skills with knowledge in excel and tally
• Good interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity
• Must be a team player
