Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) Profile:
The Rakai Health Sciences Program (RHSP) was established in 1987 as a collaboration between researchers at Makerere, Columbia and John Hopkins Universities, the Division of Intramural Research at the National Institutes of Allergy & Infectious diseases and the International Centre for Excellence Research (ICER). This was as a result of the first identification of clinical AIDS in Rakai district Uganda in 1982 by Drs. Sewankambo and Serwadda. The initiation of the Program, then known as the Rakai Project led to a series of clinical studies characterizing the disease and its epidemiology; and also brought the partnership with other colleagues including Professor Maria Wawer and Prof Ronald Gray.
Job Profile:
The washing bay attendant shall maintain a clean sanitary status of the transport section and clean all program automobiles.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Daily washing and cleaning of all program automobiles
- Maintaining a clean sanitary status of that area. .
- Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of O-level Certificate of Education
- Ability to work under minimum supervision.
- Between 18-30 years.
- Physically fit
- Willing to work and reside in a rural setting of Kalisizo.
- Fluent in reading and writing English
- Available to start work immediately.
- Must have a valid Driving permit, minimum Class B.
