We have increasingly found our work on malaria can be effectively integrated with similar public health interventions for greater impact and have therefore expanded our remit to include child health and neglected tropical disease interventions.

To ensure that office hygiene and security is maintained.
Scope of work:
Malaria Consortium Uganda Jobs: The primary role of this position is to ensure office hygiene and security is maintained in accordance to Malaria Consortium standards; which include maintaining a clean and comfortable office environment, and ensuring that the premises are secure, accessible to staff and well-lit in the
evening.
Key working relationships:
The Office Assistant reports to the Administrator. She/he will interact with all staff and visitors.
Key accountabilities
1. Cleaning duties (40%)
- Cleaning the cups
- Supervising external cleaners
- Preparing and serving staff members tea
- Organising for tea and snacks for meetings
- Assist the staff to tidy up their work stations
2. Guard duties (30%)
- Required to open the office on time and lock it
- Keep guard of the office so that nothing gets lost as you watch and wait for staff working beyond office hours
- Switch off all lights and all electric appliances before locking the offices
- Safeguard the office keys at all times
3. Stores (5%)
- Assist in stores and take inventory as required
4. Other Duties (25%)
- Help to carry office related materials to the directed staff
- Assist at the reception when need arises
- Assist staff in running errands
- Managing petty cash
Qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of A level Certificate
- At least 1 year experience serving in a similar role
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage time
- Attention to detail
